Tallahassee, Florida (AP) --
State investigators have found no criminal wrongdoing by Florida Power and Light Co. after an anonymous employee complaint.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a report this
week closing its investigation into allegations the company
provided false testimony to regulators and issued misleading news
releases.
However, the agency said three additional accusations would have
to be taken up by the state Commission on Ethics: The claim a
sitting state legislator worked as an FPL lobbyist, another that a
sitting Public Service Commission sought a job with FPL, and a third that the utility conspired to file a complaint against the commission
chairwoman.
