Man Arrested for Attempted Murder in Tallahassee

Tallahassee police have arrested 36-year-old Sammy L. Watson for attempted first-degree murder.

Police say they were called to 611 Rollins Street about 8 p.m. Sunday night. Officers found a man bleeding from a severe cut to his neck.

"There was a group of people in the backyard playing board games. An argument ensued. The suspect was asked to leave, he did so, he came back and stabbed the victim in the neck,” explains Stewart Clendenin, spokesman for the Tallahassee Police Department.

Witnesses fingered Watson as the attacker. He was later found and arrested. The victim was treated and released from TMH.
