Real Estate Agents on High Alert After Attack
It seems like a pretty safe job, but after a local real estate agent was attacked Wednesday, many other agents are now on high alert.

Investigators say Lorraine Jackson was bound, robbed and left with nothing after showing Abel Coca a vacant house in Thomas County.
"No vehicle, no money, no cell phone, nothing," said Investigator Jason Carroll. Local Realtors are shocked, but say it’s easy to let your guard down in this line of work.
"I say we get pretty complacent because 95 percent of the people that we work with are good. You know, so it's easy to get lax about it, and feel comfortable," says Realtor Karen Musgrove, but investigators say realtors should always be careful when showing property alone.
"Have some type of safety precaution whether it's self defense, have someone else with them. Just be able to protect themselves in some way shape or form," said Carroll.
Many Realtors are taking action. Some say they're working hard to make their job safer.
"The agents carry mace which is good precaution, and we have a code system if they do get out and feel uncomfortable that they will call back and use a secret code that we can't tell you, to let someone here at the office know they're in trouble," said Karen.
Investigators say these are all good safeguards toward keeping Realtors safe on the job. Sheriff's investigators and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are still searching for Coca. He was last seen driving a greenish gray Honda Civic with a New Jersey license plate.
