There's nothing like that new car smell, and Tallahassee's got plenty of it.
Local dealerships brought more than 150 new rides to town for the Tallahassee Auto Dealer Association's 2008 car show.
When it comes to buying cars, dealers say technology will be consumers' driving force.
"Anywhere from the Blue Tooth wireless technology where you don't have to have a Blue Tooth headset, it just works through your car audio, all the way up to navigation which can give you lane guidance and other features like that," said Nissan dealer Steve Neuens.
He says other customers are interested in the "intelligent key," which automatically opens the door, starts the car and customizes settings to the driver.
Also topping the list of "new car must haves" is good fuel efficiency.
With gas prices much higher now than when most consumers last purchased a vehicle, buyers say they want to see their cars go farther for each gallon that goes into the tank.
"We've got everything from hybrids to the latest in diesel technology that's out there, a lot of ethanol vehicles that you can put regular gas or ethanol in, so it's on everybody's mind," said Mercury dealer Bob Hudson.
Organizers of the show say if you hate high pressure sales tactics, this one's for you!
No one at the show is buying or selling... they're just showing off next year's hottest rides.
Donations collected at the car show will be donated to the Leon County Sheriff's Adventure Camps.
