State officials say over 2.6 million customers lost electric power due to Hurricane Jeanne, though many are back online Monday.

There were power outages in 54 of Florida's 67 counties because of Jeanne. The outages have been spread from south Florida to the Georgia line.

The hardest-hit appears to have been Okeechobee County, where 92 percent of customers lost power. There was a 78 percent loss in Polk County.

Nearly 3,800 National Guardsmen are on duty Monday because of Jeanne and the various other hurricanes that have hit Florida over the past six weeks.
