TALLAHASSEE - The final retail shop in Tallahassee's Northwood Mall is closing up shop.
The Northwood Barber Shop is saying goodbye to its location of nearly 40 years and moving up north on Monroe Street.
Over the years the owner says they've seen governors, senators, judges, and more than two million everyday Tallahasseans come through their doors to get a haircut.
"You get to watch them grow up, become young men, go to college," said Don Strickland, owner of the shop. "They come in here and get their hair cut and they still want their bubblegum."
The barber shop's final day in the Northwood Mall is Sunday. The owner says they'll be cutting hair right until they lock their doors for good.
Their new location is on North Monroe Street, just past the old Sam's Club.
