Democrat John Kerry said Monday that President Bush sent troops into war without necessary equipment and accused the commander in chief of mismanaging the war.
The Kerry campaign also rolled out a TV ad showing that president saying that he's “truly not that concerned about him” in a reference to Osama bin Laden.
Kerry, who was in West Palm Beach, criticized the president's conduct in Iraq while urging Florida voters to take advantage of laws that let residents cast their ballots for the Nov. 2 election beginning Monday.
He said an early vote would help prevent a repeat of the nail-biting finish of 2000 that saw the election decided in a Florida recount.
Kerry's running mate, North Carolina Sen. John Edwards, and President Bush are all in Florida Monday campaigning for the state's 27 electoral votes. Most polls show the race extremely close.
