A partnership between the University of Georgia's Department of Community Affairs and the Georgia Municipal Association will soon be helping to improve housing in Thomasville.
Duane Treadon agrees that the Georgia Institute for Community Housing will improve housing in Thomasville.
Treadon said, "Programs like the Community Preservation and Neighborhood Pride will be helped better coordinated together through the Technical Assistance Program, so the houses will be able to benefit from much great focus and strategically planned initiative."
The new housing program will provide assistance for three years.
Fifteen Georgia communities applied for the program and Thomasville was one of six accepted.
