Some Leon County students are part of a volunteer group that is becoming a voice in the community, letting their actions speak louder than words.
Students from Volunteer Leon have round table discussions hoping to come up with ways to make a difference in the community.
Kim Tabah, Youth Corps Coordinator, said, "I get a really good reaction out of them. They come out, have fun, they have a really good time with all the kids and honestly they have a good time volunteering.”
In the coming weeks the volunteers will be building wheelchair ramps for disabled individuals and that is only one of the many projects they will be involved in.
The teens are having an impact on Leon County and on the lives of those they help.
Every month the volunteers embark on a different project.
