Wakulla County, Florida- August 5, 2012
A 12-year old male was traveling north exiting out of a private driveway behind 1680 Crawfordville Highway. on a bicycle. Carol Powell, 52 was traveling east on Happy Time Drive. The bicyclist failed to look for traffic before entering Happy Time Drive, causing the right front of the vehicle to strike the bicyclist.
The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet. The Florida Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Wakulla County Sheriff's Office, Wakulla County Fire, and Wakulla County Emergency Medical Services. The bicyclist was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
