You can be a Christmas miracle for one family in Valdosta.
Emily and Eric are like any other children except for one heartbreaking difference, they will wake up on Christmas morning and find nothing.
"I just want to be able to have a tree and presents, so they can wake up and be like every other child and ripping things up and throwing things around and being like, ‘wow mommy’ and everything,” shares Dayanara Cruz, who is in need of sponsor.
To help make that dream a reality, New Horizons is looking for businesses or individuals to sponsor a family like the Cruz's this holiday season.
Folks here say they know many organizations need help this time of year, but they can offer sponsors something unique.
"These are real people. These are people you see everyday. They work in your community; they live in your community. Why wouldn't you want to be a part of that?" explains New Horizons Director Angela Barker.
Not to mention just knowing you helped make a child's Christmas special.
"I got a Playstation 2 and I was extremely happy that I got one because I didn't think I was going to get anything and I was extremely thankful,” comments Teddy Mikolajewski, who was sponsored last Christmas.

"The first thing he did was hook it up to the TV and started playing his games. I didn't have to worry anymore,” adds Teddy’s mom Renee Mikolajewski.
Sponsors have until Dec. 15 to adopt a New Horizons family or child, like Emily and Eric, this Christmas.
