It happened at the Subway restaurant at 1214 South Monroe on November 11.
It was 10:30 a.m. The suspect walked in and asked for two cookies and a coke. The person behind the counter packaged the cookies and went to get the drink. Then, the suspect changed his mind and decided he only wanted the cookies.
Kathy McGhin of the Tallahassee Police Department says, "When he handed the clerk the money, the clerk opened up the cash drawer, at which time the suspect told him it was a robbery, to give him all the money. The clerk asked if he was joking, at which time the suspect displayed a handgun."
The medium-skinned 150-pound black male, age 25 to 30, got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. If you can help solve this crime, call Crime Stoppers at 891-HELP. That's 850-891-4357.
