Suwannee River Water Management officials say they are aware that some issues do exist in Suwannee County.
The deputy executive director of Suwannee Water Management is asking for a partnership with county commissioners. He says issues that impact residents will also affect Water Management and the Commission.
David Still says, "We're just trying to get the Commission on board with us to know that issues that they will deal with are basically land and zoning issues, where a lot of things we deal with are permitting issues and looking at water quality/water quantity, impacts from these decisions that they'll make."
Still says addressing issues like water quality, flooding and land acquisitions and management together will reduce a number of major problems in the future.
