With all the bottled salad dressings at the market, we may not think of making our own, but just think of all the reasons why we'd want to, like the compliments we'll get when we can say "I made it myself" or "it's a family secret."
Here's how: Using any brands, in a bowl, we whisk together 1-1/4 cups mayonnaise, 1/3 cup honey, 2/3 cup vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon white vinegar, 1 teaspoon minced onion flakes, 2 tablespoons each of chopped fresh parsley and yellow mustard.
Okay, now our very own freshly made honey-mustard original is ready to serve, or we can keep it in the fridge like our bottled dressing, only better! And since this is our very own creation, why not make it even more special each time by using a different style mustard?
Same with honey varieties. Each will give our dressing its very own signature flavor! And we'll get to show it off drizzled over mixed greens or spinach salad, even over chicken or fish. It'll dress up any of our favorites! And it's just mixing!
