Mr. Food: Salute to Food That Grows on Trees

You know, a world without trees would be a very denied and poorer place, and with it being National Arbor Day, a holiday dedicated to planting trees to help nature and the environment, let's take a look at some of the trees we've visited during the years!

First stop: an apple orchard, and with so many fresh-off-the-tree crunchy varieties to sink our teeth into and add to our recipes, they are autumn at its best all year 'round! And not long ago we “oohed” and “ahhed” at the lush lava-rich fields where macadamia nuts are king!

Who wouldn't want to pop some of these crispy, creamy beauties in their mouths? And remember when we went nuts over pistachios? Even the way they are removed from the trees had us "all shook up!" Then there were rows and rows of sweet as can be fig trees to explore. Kind of like our own little Garden of Eden!

One place I'll never forget doing a taste test has to be the lychee groves. Call them a fruit, call them a nut, either way... mmm! Call them syrupy, irresistible and gorgeous!

Now here's the day we went wild over coconuts! There's no place better to get a taste of the tropics than here. Or maybe that was when we put the squeeze on loads of tangy fruit in the tangerine groves. Oh, I just love trees and all that they produce!

Look, that’s just to mention a few. We've gone to so many more! So on this Arbor Day, let’s celebrate the fruits of the trees' labor, because every one brings us a richer, more delicious "OOH IT'S SO GOOD!!®"
