On March 5 a group of guys wearing baseball caps walked into the Burlington Coat Factory on North Monroe Street in Tallahassee.
After a little shopping they brought their pile of purchases to the cashier. Clearly they're not shoplifting, so what's the problem?
Crime Stoppers’ Kathy McGhin explains, "They purchased a large amount of clothing from the retailer with a stolen credit card."
They weren't the only ones on this same day. About 20 minutes later the surveillance cameras caught a woman and child at the cashier counter of Burlington Coat Factory. They too had a whole pile of clothing they were planning on taking home, and they did.
Again, the stolen credit card scheme pays off, for now at least.
If you can identify any of the suspects call Crime Stoppers at 850-891-HELP and you could be eligible for a reward of $1,000. Remember, Crime Stoppers doesn't you’re your name, just your information.
