Madison County, FL --- June 9, 2012
Melvin Jackson, 24 was traveling south on NE Collin Kelly Highway (State Road 145) in a 1994 Ford Crown VIC. Jackson steered the vehicle to the right to avoid a deer. The vehicle then traveled south onto the west shoulder of State Road 145. Jackson then attempted to steer the vehicle back into the southbound lane of State Road 145. Jackson over corrected the vehicle causing it to travel across both lanes of State Road 145. The front of the vehicle collided with a utility pole. The Madison County Sheriff's Department and Pinetta Fire assisted on the scene.
