A tip leads to the discovery of a body in Grady County. Now sheriff's deputies have a homicide on their hands.
Officials with the Grady County Sheriff's Office say they received a call Monday night from a concerned citizen about some suspected foul play at a mobile home.
Investigators were sent to the residence and say that when they arrived they could smell a foul odor coming out of the home.
The front door was locked, so investigators say they forced open the back door and found a Hispanic male laying on the floor with a knife stuck in the back of his head, a fork stuck in his neck and lacerations on his face and back.
Investigators add that jewelry was found scattered throughout the residence. Investigators say that they were unable to identify the victim. They say they interviewed neighbors, but no one knows his name.
At this time the Sheriff's Office says they have no suspects, but they have launched a major investigation and ask any one with information to call the Grady County Sheriff's Office at 229-377-5200.
