Sex Offenders Denied Storm Shelter

Under a new Florida policy sex offenders will not be allowed in public shelters during storms. Instead they'll have to weather the storms in prison.

The Department of Corrections spokesman says the policy was created to keep sex offenders and predators away from children in public shelters.

The policy only affects sex offenders under state supervision not allowed near children. The sex offenders would be kept in visitor or meeting rooms.
