Authorities say an FSU football star is in trouble after attacking his girlfriend.
FSU linebacker Ernie Sims was arrested early Wednesday morning. Tallahassee police say the arrest came after Sims got into a fight with his live-in girlfriend at Osceola Hall on Chapel Drive.
A security officer there called police, saying Sims had thrown the woman to the ground. Sims is now charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest without violence.
Sims was given pre-trial release Wednesday morning after spending the night in jail. There is no word on how this might affect his playing status.
