The Florida Highway Patrol says it happened around 1:30 Saturday afternoon on Interstate 10 westbound near Grand Ridge, Florida.
Officials say the driver, 17-year-old Tiffany Scarbrough of Tallahassee, drifted off the road into the median. She over-compensated to get back on the road and lost control of the pickup truck she was driving. It spun before rolling over and hitting a large tree.
Authorities say Scarbrough and the passenger, 41-year-old James Ansley of Tallahassee, were pronounced dead on the scene.
A 12-year-old and a six-year-old were in the back seat and were life-flighted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. They are currently in critical condition.
