Murder Trial

Jurors took about seven hours to reach their verdict in the case of 42-year-old Victor Parker. He is accused of the February 2003 murder of his fiancé, Evelyn Rosado.

The verdict was one that produced a lot of emotion from those who remember Rosado. Parker, on the other hand, stood motionless.

Victor Parker was found guilty of first degree murder for the death of Evelyn Rosado. He was sentenced to life behind bars without the possibility of parole.

Those who knew and loved Evelyn say they're glad this chapter has finally ended.

"It's been very traumatic and stressful. It brings back everything all over again. I can finally get closure. Everybody can get some type of closure," said Christina Johnson.

Evelyn's mother traveled from New York to attend the trial. She says now has the responsibility of helping her grandson C.J. understand what happened to his mother and father.
