City officials discovered thousands of dead fish floating in a popular fishing spot. The investigation is in the hands of the Department of Environmental Protection.
"It's out of the city limits; we'll take a hands-off approach, but we want to let the citizens know the concerns we have down here and to be cautious not to fish out here until we find out why the fish are dying."
DEP is currently investigating the matter and they've notified the Department of Health and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
