The Jessica Lunsford Act requires schools to fingerprint and conduct background checks on anyone who works on campus, but districts say it's pricey and tough to keep tabs on everyone from construction workers to vending machine stockmen.
State lawmakers met this week in Tallahassee and are looking for ways to make it easier to comply without putting kids at risk.
