A 25-year growth plan is being developed by the South Georgia Regional Development Council, and will cover everything from roads to business to schools around Valdosta.
Planners say they want ideas to define the quality of life needs for the next generation.
Anne-Marie Wolf, Regional Planner, says, "We're looking at the technical details to make sure we can provide people with a high quality of life, then we're looking at the emotional side of it, in what types of entertainment and cultural options would you like to see in your community, and that's why we need citizens to come out."
The planning meeting on the metro Valdosta area takes place Tuesday at 5:30 at the Lowndes County Administrative Building. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
