Sunday morning Tallahassee police were called to the scene of a drowning.
Police say around 10:50 Sunday morning, someone at the Boardwalk apartment complex called 911 about a possible drowning.
Officers arrived at the apartments and found people trying to give CPR to a black male. Officers took over the CPR, but the victim, 25-year-old Eric Barron, could not be revived.
Witnesses told the police Barron was in a swimming contest to see who could swim the longest underwater. Witnesses say they realized something was wrong when Barron stopped in the middle of the pool during his turn.
Police say there was no signs of foul play but are still investigating the death.
