Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is thanking those who evacuated, rather than chose brave the storm.
“A pretty high percentage by Keys standards evacuated. Hospitals and nursing homes were evacuated, and you know it’s important. The Keys now have not had a direct hit, but they’ve had to evacuate three of four times in the last, little over a year. That could probably wear down people’s patience, so I want to say thank you. It’s the right thing to do to be prepared,” says Gov. Bush.

Florida disaster experts are already making plans to lend a hand in Texas.
