In less than a hour, Wakulla County commissioners will hold their final budget hearing in Crawfordville.

Previous meetings have generated a slew of complaints, mainly among homeowners worried about property taxes, but the county administrator says the bulk of the county will receive tax relief.

Parrish Barwick, Wakulla County Administrator, says, “They're looking at lowering the millage by 1.25 mills from 9.5 to 8.25. Each commissioner is discussing trying to go even lower.

Tuesday night’s final budget hearing starts at 6 o'clock and will be held in commission chambers. The public is invited to attend.
