A Tallahassee man accused trying to kill a Florida trooper is going on trial on Tuesday.
Thirty-two-year-old Theron Sapp was arrested after a car chase in April 2004 and accused of trying to run over Florida Trooper Bill Dyer.
Investigators say Sapp fled a traffic stop, and when troopers cornered his Buick off Old Bainbridge Road he hit the accelerator and struck the trooper.
Dyer suffered minor injuries.
A jury was chosen Monday. Testimony in Sapp's trial begins Tuesday.
