Every so often your tips lead to the capture of criminals on the run, people we spotlight on our Crime Stoppers series, which is celebrating 20 years.

Monday at Tallahassee's Southwood Golf Club the first Big Bend Crime Stoppers Golf Tournament was held to raise a money for the program.

Members of law enforcement hit the tees and participated in a silent auction. Over the span of two decades between 4,000 and 5,000 cases have been cleared thanks to your tips.

"We're very pleased that the community came out and said, 'yes, we need Crime Stoppers and we are going to support you in your venture,'" says Allen Stucks, Big Bend Crime Stoppers President.

Members of the WCTV team hit the green Monday. Our station also served as a sponsor for the event.
