Tallahassee Memorial Hospital is taking on an entire county in hopes of increasing the health of a local population.
TMH administrators and doctors say Wakulla County has asked for more health education and information. For the next five Tuesdays free seminars will be offered on a variety of topics such as diabetes prevention, colorectal cancer and heart health.
TMH's Christy Harrison says, "Tomorrow is on ‘to panic, or not to panic,’ and it's Dr. Fred Lutes, and he's going to talk to everyone about when it's time to go to the emergency room, but how to do home emergencies and first aid and when you can handle it at home."
The seminars will be held every Tuesday through November 15 at the Wakulla County Senior Citizen Center. For more information, call (850) 431-CARE.
