Wilma went from a tropical storm to a category five hurricane in just a few hours and Florida Emergency Management Director Craig Fugate says they're as ready as they can be.
Wilma is moving between Cuba and the Yucatan Peninsula, but forecasters expect the hurricane to take a hard turn to the east on Friday and head for the southwest coast of Florida. Officials at the Emergency Operations Center say 200 truck loads of ice, 225 truckloads of water, and 60,000 emergency meals have already been stored in staging areas.
The relief supplies will be shipped in as soon as Wilma has moved on.
