LCSO says normally it would auction off these vehicles to try to recoup some money, but not this time.
The six sheriff's cruisers will be sent west to Mississippi, where law enforcement agencies who've lost vehicles in the hurricane can use them.
Larry Campbell, Leon County Sheriff, says, "The people in Mississippi have lost everything. Law enforcement agencies we're assisting out there have no cars or uniforms, or nothing to work with."
The cost of delivery of these cruisers is being paid for by Champion Chevrolet.
