The Price of Freedom: Running for Charity

Team members are running from Georgia to Tampa to help raise money to pay college expenses for children of Special fForces soldiers killed in the line of duty.

They ran into Tallahassee Wednesday morning, stopping at the Capitol to talk about their mission.

CAPT Lonnie Benniefield with the Tampa Fire Department says, “Whether you agree with the war or not, there are people over there dying every day, and the message I hope they get out is, we got to take care of these peoples’ families."

There are more than 500 children who have lost a parent to the war effort and stand to benefit from the charity.
