Truck drivers we spoke to say they were re-routed from the Gulf Coast and have been in Thomasville waiting for further orders since Sunday.
They're pretty sure they'll be sent to North Carolina to deliver water and ice to areas affected by Hurricane Ophelia, but there's no official word yet.
"I haven't heard a thing other than my boss told me we might get the chance to be dispatched up to Coast of Carolina, but other than that I haven't heard anything from anyone that's really concrete you know like a go. I haven't heard anything."
FEMA said Thomasville was the ideal place to stage trucks because of its access to several different interstates.
We'll keep you posted when the truckers get word.
