A Leon County grand jury handed down three first degree murder indictments Thursday.
Dwight Devon Smith was indicted for killing his roommate, Willie Davis, and dumping his body in a retention pond in June.
Roger Cain was indicted for robbing and killing Earl Cox in a homeless encampment off Timberlane Road in July, and Ervin Davis was indicted for killing his estranged wife, Gadsden County DEP Lisha Davis, during a confrontation in August.
Thursday, the same grand jury cleared Nicole Nero of any charges. She stabbed her boyfriend to death during an argument in July, but grand jurors agreed she did so in self defense.
