A manhunt Friday afternoon brought a flood of patrol cars to one of Tallahassee’s busiest business districts. It all started when the man rear ended an undercover cop's car and to the deputy's surprise the man peeled out and eventually bailed out.
Reshad McGriff was led out in handcuffs and leg irons. Deputies and officers swarmed the woods near Commonwealth Boulevard looking for him. And thanks to a tip from a garbage truck driver, they found him hiding in a bin at Waste Management.
McGriff's run from the law ended about 45 minutes after it began, a wild chase that left deputies wondering what he really had to hide and left Waste Management workers with plenty to talk about at dinner tonight.
Deputies say initially McGriff may have faced charges for driving with a suspended license, but after he bolted, he faces many more including hit and run, fleeing and eluding, and possession of marijuana.
