Katrina Victims Get Debit Cards

Red Cross workers handed over what so many don't have, money, $1,500 to be exact on a debit card.

Over three days the Red Cross doled out a total of $5 million this way.

The cards can be used to buy groceries and supplies.

This was the final day, and the line snaked through a hospital corridor, outside and around the building.

Also Monday in two New Orleans suburbs, hundreds of children went back to school for the first time since Katrina struck more than a month ago.
