Tallahassee Police have now ruled a woman's death in Frenchtown a murder.
The woman's body was found behind a home that's still under construction on Georgia Street. Police identified her as 46-year-old Lester Mae Baldwin of Tallahassee, but won't specify how she was killed.
"We have our eighth homicide of the year according to the autopsy from this morning. We found that the body had probably been there for about 12 hours prior to us finding it, so it was a pretty recent death. Right now our investigators are working very hard to get the leads up, trying to gather our suspect information."
A city building inspector found Baldwin’s body Wednesday morning just before 9. If you have any information on Baldwin’s murder, call Tallahassee Police at 891-4200.
