Tallahassee Community College receives a huge federal grant, and this makes the second major financial gift for TCC's health education program.
$441,000 was awarded to the college from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The money will support the school's programs, including nursing, dental health, and EMS technology.
Barbara Sloan, TCC's Vice President for Academic Affairs, says the money will help prepare students for real life.
"So when our dental students are working with the instruments and the chairs, in our facility they'll be using the same equipment they would be using on the job," says Sloan.
U.S. Congressman Allen Boyd was instrumental in securing the funding.
