Leon County is one step closer to bringing a Canadian company south.
Leon County commissioners approved their side of the Turbocor agreement, calling it a potential grand slam for the county.
Innovation Park is where the county and City of Tallahassee hopes to see Turbocor, Incorporated build its new headquarters.
The company manufactures air conditioner compressors using magnetic technologies. If the company chooses to relocate to Tallahassee it would create 150 jobs each with an average salary of $45,000.
City commissioners will consider the agreement Wednesday and it will then go back to the company for the final decision on relocation.
