Tallahassee police still have no motive and no suspects in last week's murder of a popular Parks and Rec. employee.
Thirty-three-year-old Sylvester Davis failed to show up for work last Wednesday, and when co-workers went to his Arnold Street home to check on him, they found his body.
Police say Davis was shot multiple times. The head of the homicide unit says they've had many calls but no solid leads on who may have done this or why.
SGT Jeff Johnson with the TPD Homicide Unit says, "We need to talk with all these people to get a circle, to figure out who may have had some malice towards him or if he had gotten himself into a situation that led to his demise, so the more people we talk to, the more we learn about him, and we hope the more that will help us in the investigation."
If you have any information about the murder or the last hours of Davis' life, police would like to hear from you. The number is 891-4200.
Funeral services are set for Saturday at noon at Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church, which is just a few blocks away from the Lawrence Gregory at Dade Street Community Center where Davis worked.
