Tallahassee has hosted a Veterans Day parade since the days of World War II.
Friday morning, veterans of past wars and the War on Terrorism walked side by side through the heart of Tallahassee.
There are some 71,000 veterans in north Florida alone.
Dressed in red, white and blue, residents saluted the service and the sacrifice of these men and women who stood selflessly in harm’s way.
Jack Madden with the United States Navy, a WWII veteran, says, "Makes me proud to have served my country and helped people as a Navy corpsmen."
More than 50 different groups participated in the parade.
