Thanksgiving Baskets for Tallahassee Families

The members of Bethel AME Church in Tallahassee gave some folks a helping hand with their Thanksgiving food supply.

They distributed 300 Thanksgiving baskets filled with food to serve for the traditional dinner.

Church members and local vendors made contributions to the baskets.

The pastor of Bethel AME Church, John Green, said, "It's a very happy day and it is a good time for the church to really be of service to the community. We believe here at bethel that we are blessed and we believe that we must share our blessings."

Local social work agencies help the church identify families in the community who would most benefit from the Thanksgiving baskets.
