A timeless classic has spun its way into Tallahassee. The FSU Theatre is presenting "Charlotte's Web" this Thursday on campus.
Last week, students traveled around Tallahassee, performing for children, and after seeing empty bookshelves at the Boys and Girls Club they're asking audiences to donate.
Erin Read, who plays "Wilbur," says, "For me growing up, books were so much a part of my life. It's really a shame to see there are some children who don't get to experience that simply because of a lack of resources, and that's something we can fix, so that's why we're doing the book drive during the show."
All children's books will be donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Big Bend. Charlotte's Web opens November 17 and runs through the 20th. For more information, call the FSU ticket office at (850) 644-6500.
