Special Olympics Georgia has the fall games this week in Thomas County, bringing together people from different areas to test their skills.

Nearly 250 athletes are taking part throughout two days, competing in several activities including bowling.

Organizers divided everyone into lanes and the athletes competed for the highest score and a trophy.

Participants say the competition is friendly and fun.

Jon T., a Special Olympics participant, says, "I'm going to win a trophy today. I'm going to get a high score and get a trophy."

Participants were from Thomas and Mitchell Counties, Rosehaven, Southwestern State Hospital and the Albany Arc.
