Around 3 p.m. Friday, a steady stream of employees picked up their paychecks at the hospital. Some of the employees were expecting a little more than they got.
The workers say they filled out vacation request forms and were told they would get paid vacation time while the hospital worked out the problems with the state and the county, but that didn't happen.
"We put in for it but we were told today they couldn't access the records because the electricity has been turned off and so there was no way to see how much vacation time each individual person had."
Employees say hospital officials haven't told them when they'll return back to work or if they'll be able to get vacation pay in the near future.
