Decatur County, GA - 21-year-old Maggie Bridges was just named 2014 Miss Georgia.
The newly crowned Bridges is from Bainbridge and was in town today. Bridges said she's been on a whirlwind ever since she was crowned and that she can't believe the support she's received from her community.
"I have had so much outreach of support on facebook any type of social media, we're obviously interviewing at my home church right now. Everyone has been so supportive and loving and kind and I cannot say thank you enough for that," said Bridges.
Bridges was crowned last week at the state pageant in Columbus and as part of the Miss Georgia Organization Bridges received a new car. She will be driving a 2015 KIA Optima during her reign. Bridges will compete in the Miss America pageant in September.
