Builders at Thomasville's Stewart Park Homes say FEMA's 1,000 home order should be completed by the end of the year.

A company spokesperson says the plant is currently producing 85 to 90 homes a week.

Stewart Park Homes director Mark Williams says, "It's been really neat to know that we're not only running a business, but also assisting our fellow country men and at the same time having the community rally around to provide with the different items that they need."

Since receiving the FEMA order, Stewart Park Homes has hired more than 240 new employees, and the company is still hiring.
