Rocking chair rockers were helping to raise money for the Sixth Annual Riley House Rock-a-Thon.
Over 30 local organizations sponsor a rocking chair and have members keep the chair rocking for six continuous hours.
All the proceeds benefit the John G. Riley Center and Museum.
Rock-a-Thon chairperson Ernest Lane says, "A historical museum that talks about the culture of Tallahassee and African-Americans in general. There are different exhibits that the museum houses from various months to months."
The volunteer rockers were provided a day full of live entertainment. Organizers hope to raise about $15,000.
